he New
Mexico Health Care Association (NMHCA) is proud to represent more than 100 nursing
facilities, assisted living communities, and intermediate care facilities for the mentally
retarded. NMHCA has worked hard, since its
establishment in 1954, to advance the profession of long-term care through information,
education, leadership, and advocacy.

the continuing education needs of the many professional disciplines affiliated with
providers of long-term health care services is an essential service provided to
NMHCAs membership. In todays
dynamic professional environment, NMHCA has endeavored to identify, develop, and offer a
wide variety of innovative and relevant educational opportunities that truly satisfy the
educational needs of our members and their staffs.

MHCA offers
3 major events each year! Our Leadership Symposium is held in Santa Fe in either February
or March to coincide with the legislative session. This conference is targeted to the
leaders in long term care in New Mexico and attracts more than 150 each year. The
Convention and Exposition is offered every August and is the largest long term care event
in New Mexico attracting more than 300 attendees that represent every discipline in long
term care. The Fall Conference is held in November in the southern part of New Mexico.

for you and your company. We represent nearly
every segment of the long-term care profession including small independent operators,
large national chains, proprietary and philanthropic nursing homes, assisted living
communities, and ICFs/MR. We strive to put
together and energetic and well-timed educational programs to appeal to our diverse
audience and make their learning experience the best it can be.
